My husband has just joined the credit union affiliated with his company. He has heard from some of the people at work that it is possible to get better mortgage rates from the credit union than from a regular bank. Is this really true? I guess we will soon find out since he is looking into mortgage refinancing with one of the people who works at the credit union. His friends say the credit union got them a really good deal, so hopefully they can do the same for us. So far they have just asked a lot of questions and sent an appraiser to reappraise the house.
