Special edition Alessi tea and coffee sets destined for collectors

The 20 tea and coffee sets of the "Tea & Coffee Towers" projects - mostly in silver - were produced by Alessi in a limited edition of 99 pieces, destined for museums or the world of high level collecting.
Having concluded the first phase and left adequate time for decantation, Alberto Alessi returned to the job. He asked the same 20 architects to design a "simple" coffee cup in porcelain that synthesised and transmitted the same spirit with which each had created the project for the tea and coffee set.
Alberto Alessi and the company’s goal, even in this case, leaves no room for doubt: on one hand, with "Tea & Coffee Towers", they operated in terms of culture of the project, leaving maximum liberty and no restrictions on productive and commercial feasibility. With the second phase, they attempted to utilize the enormous energy and effect expended, by committing themselves to the realization of objects that could offer Alessi’s customers the intellectual stimuli, surprise and aesthetic delight of original projects.
