The nice thing about antique mantel clocks is that they don’t really have to sit on a mantel. They will add style and grace to any room if they are sit on a nice table, preferably one that is or appears to be an antique itself. The absolute best display is on the table all by itself. If you feel the need to put something else on the table I would suggest two classic books with nice leather covers. One display I was impressed with had the two book display but added an antique pocket watch set directly in front of the clock. It was a very nice touch.
