I just knew that we were going to get things right this time around. We had both matured quite a bit over the years. He was actually asking me for advice and using it. Unlike before, he wanted me to be around quite a bit. Imagine my shock when one night I was over there and he was getting back-to-back calls. His phone was ringing so much that I reached over to silence it. It was then I saw the calls were from another woman. Immediately the “get my ex back” dream was deflated and the feelings of stupidity kicked in.
