A Scuba Cylinder Test
September 14th, 2008 by admin
The one thing that all divers rely on when they are on a dive, is their breathing apparatus. This is literally their lifeline and without it they cannot breathe and the results could be disastrous. So they perform scuba cylinder testing on their tanks on a regular occasion. This tests whether the tanks are losing any air and that the pressure inside them remains constant. They are tested in a pressured environment to simulate the pressure they are under when they are underwater. If any are found to be leaking, then they are immediately sent off for repair or simply disposed of. There is no point taking any risks when it comes to breathing underwater.
